This is what we feel like.  I have a Netty Pot but just can’t bring myself to use it. I also have essential oils and need to break them out and start using them.

If you are new to oils or have trouble figuring out what to use for what this is a great site, Essential Everything.

I use DoTerra Oils and love them!

Last week ended on us busting out the legos and doing some math and then having a creative jam on the living room rug.

This week looks like this for us:

Math: Adding Mixed Numbers, Subtracting Mixed Numbers, and Multiplying Fractions

Science: Fungi Kingdom, Protist Kingdom, Prokarayotes, and Taxonomy

Social Studies: Michigan Florida, John Brown & States’ Rights & Secession, Lincoln Elected, Fort Sumter, War Begins, Robert E. Lee & Confederacy

Reading: Finish Celia, A Slave and start Will at the Battle of Gettysburg

Spanish: Continue learning about people and greetings

We need to work a bit more to get caught up to where we need to be before the extra week off.

Lastly, I spent an hour Friday chalking this into creation! We have a split foyer and when you walk in if you look down the steps, this is what you see. I love it, I even hair sprayed it to keep it safe.

Peace, Love, and Cupcakes!

Off and running…….

Well, we are off and running. So, far no tears….. one argument over how long this was going to take but that has been it.

Today: we worked on weather in science and started up our daily weather log.

In Social Studies we are working on flat map, round earth and how we get the round globe onto a flat map and why Greenland and Alaska look bigger than they are on a map.

We have our spelling words and half focus on the suffix of -ant.

In Math we are going back and reviewing multiplication number sense such as place values.

For reading we are going to start the book The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery. We will also be doing an art project where we making a paper mache globe and little prince out of clay.

I happen to be in love with Khan Academy. I happen to have a 15-year-old daughter who cries through math everyday. I never did well with math until I went to culinary school and had to learn these formulas and conversions. I find that doing this help me help them.

Here is my current progress. Not to shabby.
Personally, I would love to learn how to knit. Here is a link to do just that! I think I have knitting needles in my room…… somewhere. I am starting a purge on Sunday of the bedroom, maybe I find them. While I am on the purge I know I have a book which I used to make a wreath. I also want to make this.
